This week I'm grateful for courage. I *met* GGMH online some time back in 2008 through myspace (my-what?). We have chatted online since then but i am a pretty shy lass, which often prevents me from social outings.
Last night i was out with friends celebrating my cousins birthday and a girls night out. It happened that i was at the wonderful GGMH's place of work and she was working. Now usually i would just avoid popping up to say "Hi" but this time i actually grew the balls and did it.
I am so happy i did too. She is just as gorgeous in person as any of the picture's I've seen online, and she was very nice to me.
So thank you Miss Homemaker, even though i felt like a total stalker i am glad we finally met face to face.
Have you ever met up with someone that you *met* online? Share your story with me.
I'm very lucky that i meet bloggers almost every day at my Shop, the Gym, School - i get around!! Best of all is when i do a market stall & people know who i am (as i'm at my own stall) & it's such a nice break with hugs, kisses & hellos between customers. I can't afford to be shy. I'm not kidding when i say i meet them at the gym - inbetween Zumba routines last week the lady next to me said "Posie right, i have the same milk bottles you posted on your blog last week". There i was in sweaty glory & i said "if you need more, you can borrow them, just don't tell anyone what i look like inside the gym!!" Tee hee, love Posie
ReplyDeleteno i never have....but it think we are a bit more isolated over here, less likely to "run" into other bloggers...i just discovered one online from a town about 30 minutes away and that just blew me away
ReplyDeleteGlad you worked up the courage to say hello! what a great story
Gill xo
It was fab meeting you too lovely lady! And now that the ice has been broken, we should have coffee one day yes? x
ReplyDeleteHolly is definitely the kind of gal that would make you feel comfy enough to pop up and say 'hi'. She is so warm and genuine. I'm glad you found the courage and I hope you go for that coffee!!
ReplyDeleteApart from my sisters, I haven't met any of the bloggers I love in person. I don't know if I would want to. Maybe one day? x
I have met very few bloggers in the flesh but hope to do so very soon. Like a multiple date in some ways not that I have ever had one of those either.
