Days.
Weekends they seem to come so quickly lately.
It's not always a welcome thing.
The pressure to go out and do family things, the added amount of people to care for and fuss over, and the house seeming to get messier faster.
Weekends are not a "break" to me.
The week, where I can be a bit more selfish with only one other person to look after (between the hours of 9-3) are the days I crave.
Sometimes the weeks are busy, but there is a lot more of a relaxed feeling to them.
So this week I'm grateful for the week days. The days of selfishness.
Which is your favourite day of the week?

I don't like weekends much either. People don't get it. Hope yours isn't too bad!
ReplyDeleteIn my 20s I loved Thursdays. Now I love Mondays. They signal a new beginning. Fresh adventure.
I like the weekends because k get time with my man. I like being altogether. I like my Wednesdays when it's just me and the Badoo and I get to play SAHM for the say. I like Fridays when I work from home and it's just me in the house (with a shiteload ofwork to do). I like the other days because I get to go into the city and play corporate girl for a while.
ReplyDeleteBut all that means there's a load to plan and plan and plan, so I like holidays best, when I can justgo where the day takes me. x
We don't really have "weekends here", Pal works all sorts of days but always tries to have two days off together. I like the days he's home, because it's good to have an extra set of hands with the three kids under three, but by the end of his days off I am always just a tiny bit glad he has gone back to work and we can get back to our normal routine. Monday is almost here for you - hope you get some relaxation before then though :)
ReplyDeleteFriday is a good day for me - home with the kids & no other set committments. Also get to catch up on my blogging!
ReplyDeleteI can relate. Mondays and Tuesdays are quiet days and the house is tidy. Although, I do appreciate when we're all together on the weekends - despite the mess and noise!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe weekends are when I work the hardest, my time off has to be during the week when the littlies are at preschool. Have had some dreadful times at weekends, expectations too great... I need my quiet times, I really do.
ReplyDeleteBefore twins, I used to hang out for the weekend. Now they just mean harder work...lol!
ReplyDeleteI think I like Fridays best now. Things seem to come together by then...
