With the arrival of Spring, for me it is a time where I get a thinking while I open my windows to let in the fresh warm air. Usually I think a great deal about Christmas approaching and how can I use what little I have to give to those who have a lot less.
Some years it's popping any change I have into a charity bucket, and some years it's decluttering the house and giving as much as possible to a charity which helps struggling families. We never have a lot but it doesn't mean that we can't give back to humanity. People need "things" just as much as they need money.
Growing up I helped out with a lot of causes.
I just feel like while my life is far from perfect, there is no reason I can't do something to make someones life a little easier. To bring them a little happiness.
Variety is a Children's Charity which aims to support sick, disadvantaged and special needs children. On Sunday 25th November 2012 they are hosting their fourth annual 5km Santa Fun Run which will commence at 9am at Palm Grove Darling Harbour, make it's way around the waters edge through Pyrmont and finish at Tumbalong Park for the Santa's Festival.
It is open to all participants, young, old, individuals, families, or community groups.
So join in and be a Clause for a Cause!
